Martin Compston (Joe McCain)

Since his debut in Ken Loach’s Sweet Sixteen, Martin has become one of Britain’s most acclaimed young actors, having won British Newcomer of The Year by The London Critics Circle Film Awards, British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer, a European Film Award, Empire Award  and a BAFTA Award all for Best Actor. He has continued to star in critically acclaimed films such as RED ROAD, A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS, and THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ALICE CREED.

Felicity Jones (Mandy Hodgson)

Having started her career in Radio 4 series THE ARCHERS, Felicity has since starred in BRIDESHEAD REVISITED and opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in CHERI. Her performances have fast made her a sought after actress for British films, starring in Ricky Gervais’s CEMETRY JUNCTION and the forthcoming big screen adaptation of THE TEMPEST.

Pat Shortt (Brendan)

One of Ireland’s most popular comedians, Pat Shortt first came to attention as one of D’Unbelievables alongside Jon Kenny. They wreaked havoc in theatres all over Ireland, Great Britain and The United States with their own particular brand of physical comedy – which they took backstage too. Pat then became established as a solo star with massive sell-out, one-man shows touring the country while his television comedy series has been the most popular programme each year in Ireland for the past three years.

He recently received the Best Actor Award at both the Evening Standard Film Awards and the Irish Film and Television Awards for his starring role in the acclaimed film GARAGE.

Alfie Allen (Russ Mountjoy)

Alfie’s first big screen appearance was in the Oscar winning film ELIZABETH, since then he has gone on to appear in THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL, FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL, and most prominently as Danny Hardman in another Oscar winning film ATONEMENT, an adaptation of the Ian McEwan novel. Alongside his film credits he has also appeared in the BBC drama FREEFALL and on stage in EQUUS.

Shimmy Marcus (Director)

Shimmy Marcus is the writer/director of SoulBoy and a multi award winning filmmaker who has worked across a variety of formats and genres. In 1999 he won the Miramax Script Writing Award for his feature script ‘Headrush’ which he also directed. The film has won a variety of International awards including Best Feature at festivals in Michigan, New York, and most recently the Braunschweig Film Festival in Germany, where it received the highest Audience vote in the 17-year history of the festival.

The son of twice Oscar nominated filmmaker Louis Marcus, Shimmy’s critically acclaimed feature documentary ‘Aidan Walsh - Master of the Universe’ became the first Irish documentary made on video to receive theatrical and video distribution. More awards have followed for Shimmy’s short films and notably for his contribution to the feature documentary ‘Imagining Ulysses’.

Noted for creating many innovative music promos for bands including Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Snow Patrol, Gavin Friday, Skin (Skunk Anansie), and Republic of Loose, his latest collaboration is with BP Fallon and Jack White of the White Stripes.

He recently completed a new comedy drama series for RTE starring Pat Shortt (Garage) and is currently putting the finishing touches to his feature documentary 'Good Cake Bad Cake' the story of Irish band LiR and their quest to reach the top of the music biz.

Nichola Burley (Jane)

Nichola’s acting career began in 2005 when she appeared as Michelle in the Dominic Savage film LOVE + HATE. Since then she has starred in the lead role of DONKEY PUNCH and in British independent film KICKS, however she is best known for 2010’s UK cinema sensation StreetDance3D, where she starred in the lead role alongside George Sampson, Diversity and Flawless.

Huey Morgan (Dee Dee)

Lead singer of the Fun Lovin' Criminals, Huey Morgan's in depth knowledge of all things musical resulted in the esteemed BBC 6 Music giving him his own show. Having struck up a friendship with SoulBoy director Shimmy Marcus, Huey appeared in his previous film Headrush and was cast as record shop owner Dee Dee in SoulBoy.
